PARENT AND TODDLERS GROUPS

Parent and Todler Group on Clean Up wales Day

Some of the group on clean up Wales day

Mondays 9.30-11.15  - This is a group that is open to anyone together with a toddler or even a baby! We have mums, dads, childminders, grandparents. The group is very informal and welcoming. The leaders follow the Highscope Play method which has active learning as its central element. The toddlers learn through direct hands on experience with people, objects, events and ideas.

There are also trips out arranged to places like Folly Farm and the pantomime.

The weekly cost: £1.50 a child which includes their drink and toast/fruit

Fridays 9.30-11.15 –This group is run along similar lines as Mondays but is staffed by the Eastside Support Project based in Bonymaen. All are welcome.

WEDNESDAY MORNING PILGIMAGES

Wednesmorning Pilgramage

Growing out of the fellowship of those who attend the Wednesday morning service, various day trips have been arranged to attend a service in another church followed by lunch on the way home. Our pilgrimages so far have included visits to Brecon Cathedral, St Illtyd’s Church, Oxwich (followed by the Oxwich Bay Hotel), St Teilo’s. Llandeilo Tal-y-Bont (followed by The Buck) and St Cenydd’s Llangennith (lunching at the Greyhound).

Most pilgrims travel on the coach but some prefer to come by car. There are always over fifty pilgrims, our highest number was sixty three.

ON CALL AND YOUTH CAMP

The youngsters of secondary school age meet regularly on a Sunday early evening to take part in a variety of events, trips and activities. They often meet up with other church youth groups for fun and fellowship.

At the beginning of the school summer holidays they join in with the Swansea and Brecon Diocesan Youth Camp which is held near Brecon. The camp takes place over five days and is packed with social events, workshops, music, sports, worship and friendship.
